Almost 3,000 Families Fed
Thanks to everyone who helped us provide so many of the county's needy families with food to prepare so they can celebrate Thanksgiving at home with family and friends. Recipients received a large frozen chicken, cold milk, cheese, bread, a case of melons and a box with 25 canned and dry food items such as corn, green beans, fruit, peas, macaroni and cheese, cereal and instant potatoes. With your help, we spent 4 days passing out food, with the biggest day being Saturday when more than 1,000 families were fed. We now turn our attention to Christmas. Pray that we will find the means to provide toys to more than 3,000 children. We think we will be OK on food.
